April brought steady activity across Tampa Bay's live music circuit. Forbici Modern Italian anchored the acoustic scene while Welcome to The Farm - St. Pete dominated the band rotation. Top Acoustic Artists Daniel B. Marshall claimed the acoustic crown with 17 shows, all at Forbici Modern Italian. That level of venue loyalty suggests a residency that works. When an artist locks down that many nights at a single room, they own it. Marshall's consistent presence at Forbici made him April's most active acoustic performer by a wide margin. Joe Hite pulled 13 gigs across two venues, splitting time between Forbici Modern Italian and Union New American. LeMay O'James worked a three-venue circuit with 7 shows at The Living Room on Main, Sonder Social Club, and Highland House. Mwiza logged 5 gigs between Boulon Brasserie and Tori Bar. The House Cats matched that count with shows at The CURRENT Hotel, Autograph Collection and Tori Bar. Top Bands The band category tells a different story. Four artists tied at 2 gigs each, all working Welcome to The Farm - St. Pete exclusively. Carter Smith, Matt Billor, The Derek Lersch Band, and Zach Haywood each claimed that venue twice in April. The Farm's roster rotation suggests they book acts in short runs rather than spreading dates across the month. Hot Club SRQ rounds out the top five with a single show at Boulon Brasserie. Top DJs Geecee owned April's DJ leaderboard with 8 shows at Predalina. Another single-venue specialist, Geecee's regular rotation at Predalina created the month's most consistent DJ presence. That kind of weekly commitment builds the room and the audience. Four DJs tied for second with 4 gigs each. Slex Allen worked Union New American and Boulon Brasserie. DJ Xae held down Sonder Social Club. LAYNE matched Geecee's Predalina commitment with 4 shows there. Mikol Angelo kept busy at Union New American with 4 sets. April's numbers show the value of consistent venue relationships. The artists who worked the most found their rooms and stuck with them. Not seeing all your shows?
